What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is learning to take hold of the ONE THING YOU absolutely have control over when you take control of it.


Breathwork is a healing modality that allows us to regulate our nervous system by bypassing the monkey mind, quieting that inner critic allowing  you to connect with your emotions and release them from the body.  


Our bodies are created so amazing.   Our nervous system plays a role in everything we do.  It helps us move, think and feel.    


The central nervous system consists of the brain, spinal cord, and all of the nerves within our body. The autonomic nervous system is the part of the central nervous system that regulates involuntary body functions (like breathing).  


Breathing and the nervous system are closely linked; while the autonomic nervous system controls involuntary breathing, conscious, slow, and deep breathing can activate the parasympathetic nervous system promoting a "rest and digest" state that lowers heart rate and reduces stress. This can be achieved doing Breathwork and this can counteract the "fight or flight" response triggered by the sympathetic nervous system. 


Doing intentional breathing like Breathwork helps to regulate the nervous system and encourages the body to relax, allowing us to connect to our inner world. 


Breathwork, in essence, is a beautiful way to connect with yourself.  For some, this will be the first time.  


How does it work?

Breathwork gives your brain a simple task to focus on (inhale/exhale) so you can override your thinking brain and go into the divine intelligence of the body and connect to your heart (emotions), spirit (how we connect with God), and our intuition (inner intelligence felt in the body, it is a knowing that we have).  We bypass the monkey mind or chatter and connect to our bodies, emotions (heart), and our intuition (inner knowing). 


Our bodies is wildly intelligent and they will always bring forward what is the most important thing to heal within your consciousness.   Maybe this is the first time you will explore connecting with your body and inner world.  But you have no idea what it feels like to be home in your body or to trust yourself.   These sessions will guide you through accessing safety in yourself  (your body),  in a safe space so that, you can begin to trust yourself.   


Is it safe?

Stimulating the nervous system in a safe, sacred space and allowing an emotional release valve for all the suppressed anger, fear, grief, pain, rage, and trauma contained in the body helps us clear layer after layer of pain and conditioning.


As we clear this "static or negative energy" from the body, we can see beyond our core wounds and limiting beliefs and connect to our internal world; our heart and our intuition.  


Every time we open our hearts, we find more self-compassion, more acceptance, and more understanding and we are able to rewrite and upgrade the programming of the subconscious to what is true NOW.
